Drake is giving fans a rare opportunity to get creative. The rap icon is calling on up-and-coming visionaries to submit treatments for his next music video, which will be directed by none other than Twitch streamer, Kai Cenat. The idea reportedly came about after Drake saw Kai’s viral reaction to his “Nokia” music video. Following the reaction, Kai says he was tapped for what he calls the opportunity of a lifetime: to direct visuals for Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s upcoming collab project.

But Kai isn’t going at it alone. In true “for the chat” fashion, he’s inviting fans to submit 30-second to one-minute ideas, also known as treatments, for a chance to be selected as one of 20 creatives who will help direct the final product. The reward? A shot at $15,000 and a co-sign from Drake himself, who’s even posted some guidance to help contestants bring their A-game. While the internet has mixed reactions, ranging from praise for fan involvement to jabs at Drake for “outsourcing” creativity, one thing is clear: this is a moment for fans to get directly involved in shaping the next big visual moment in hip-hop.

00:00Drake is giving advice to fans submitting treatments for his next music video,
00:04one that's being directed by none other than Kai Sanat with a cash prize on the line.
00:09According to Kai, the opportunity presented itself after Drake saw the 23-year-old streamer's
00:14reaction to Nokia. Yeah, I know. I felt like Nokia could have been feeling better.
00:20Witchpower 100 reports Drake released the highly anticipated music video for his hit Nokia
00:25and had fans convinced it includes a few subliminal shots aimed at Kendrick Lamar and
00:30their ongoing beef. But Kai states due to the streamer's feedback, he's now getting the
00:34opportunity of a lifetime. Drake is giving me the opportunity to direct a song from the album.
00:43Now reports state that Kai Sanat will be directing the visuals for the Party Next Door collaboration
00:48album. Of course, Kai wouldn't take this opportunity without giving back to chat and Drake is sharing
00:53advice to help make winning the cash prize a little easier. Reports state that during a recent live
00:59stream, Kai told fans that he'll be selecting 20 emerging creatives to help direct the music video
01:04while stating the opportunity is for everybody who loves directing, everybody who loves to come up
01:09with treatments and stuff. And if you're wondering, a film treatment is a short summary that outlines the
01:14key scenes, themes, and tones to pitch a project to buyers or producers, according to Studio Binder.
01:20Kai continued his stream and explained all it takes is, quote, just 30 seconds to a minute of an idea
01:26in order to enter the competition, where $15,000 is up for grabs. And to help 20 lucky aspiring directors,
01:34Drake is sharing some words of wisdom. In a video recently posted to X, Drake said the announcement
01:39has inspired his close friends to start sharing their own ideas, which in turn seems to have inspired the
01:44singer to share the kind of direction he hopes fans will take when entering the competition.
01:49I feel like it's important that you come up with a concept that is somewhat simple and an aha genius
01:58moment. But of course, the internet has thoughts about all of this. One critic on X wrote,
02:03so basically he admitted most people hated the Nokia MV, which is why he's taking this route.
02:09It amazes me. His whole career, he stole lyrics. Now he needs their ideas for his videos. Well,
02:15at least he's paying them this time, I guess. Possibly referring to the accusations last year
02:20that Drake was stealing lyrics from indie artists. But despite the never-ending Kendrick Lamar vs.
02:25Drake beef or Kai's ongoing drama surrounding Streamer University, fans are excited for the
02:30opportunity to share their ideas. One X user stated, Drake teaming up with Kai Sinat to let fans create
02:36his music video is the best move he's made post-NLU. But what's your take? Share your thoughts below and
