00:00RCB's marketing head Nikhil Sosele has been arrested over this tweet.
00:04On June 3rd, just before the April 2025 final, RCB management sought police permission for a victory parade.
00:10But without formal approval, they went ahead and announced it online.
00:14Reportedly, police had advised holding the event later, ideally on a Sunday,
00:18to avoid traffic cures and allow time for security prep.
00:21That advice was ignored.
00:22And now Bengaluru police commissioner B. Dayananda has been suspended.
00:26A deadly stampede at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4th, 11 dead, over 75 injured.
00:32Now begins the blame game.
00:34The home minister says, we didn't request RCB or KCA, they brought the team.
00:38So who gave the go ahead?
00:40What about BBMP officials who cleared the venue?
00:42Bureaucrats who signed off?
00:44The ministers who turned up to chair but vanishment tragedy struck.
00:47The stadium holds 35,000.
00:50Nearly 3 lakh turned up.
00:525,000 cops were deployed for a crowd six times at size.
00:55Even the CM said no one expected so many people.
00:58But why not?
00:59This isn't new.
01:00In the last 20 years, India has seen at least 10 major stampedes.
01:04The latest, Prayag Raj, January 2025.
01:0730 dead, 90 injured.
01:09But here's the real tragedy.
01:11No one at the top ever pays the price.
01:13Not a single resignation.
01:15Not one minister.
01:16Not one senior official.
01:18Massive crowds are a reality in India.
01:20How can any government forget that?
01:22Especially when riding high on euphoria over a first ever IPL win.
01:26Contrast this with what used to happen.
01:28In 2013, Uttar Pradesh Minister Azam Khan resigned after a stampede at the Kung Mela.
01:33In 2016, Odisha Health Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak stepped down after hospital fire killed 25.
01:39In 1999, Nitish Kumar resigned as railway minister after a train accident killed over 290 people.
01:45Today, arrest the PR guy, suspend a cop.
01:48But never touch those who enabled it all.
01:51Until the buck stops at the top, these tragedies will repeat.
01:54Because in India, the lives of ordinary people still don't matter enough.
